  1. Day 1 Airport – Leh (By Air) (11562 i.e. 3524 mts ) 5 – 6 km.(30 minutes Drive Approx)

    Welcome to Ladakh, a land like no other, extending from the glacier to the main Great Himalayas. Your adventure begins with your arrival at Leh Airport, the capital, and largest town of Ladakh. The Ashoka Adventure team will greet you at the airport, drive you to the hotel for check-in, offer a welcome drink, and recommend complete relaxation for the rest of the day. It’s set aside to allow you to settle in and rest before we start exploring the stunning landscape and roads tomorrow. By afternoon, our supported team leader will meet you at the hotel and brief you about the trip.

  2. Day 2 Leh- Shey,Thiksey, Hemis Local sightseeing (11562 i.e. 3524) 90 kms (5-6 hrs one way approx.)

    After breakfast, visit the monasteries of Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis:

    Shey: The ancient capital of Ladakh, where the king continued to regard it as their real home. Shey, with its enormous number of chortens, reflects its importance in Ladakh’s heartland.
    Thiksey: One of the largest and most impressive Gompas, featuring several temples with images, stupas, and exquisite wall paintings. It houses a two-storied statue of Buddha.
    Hemis: Dedicated to Padmasambhava, Hemis offers a unique experience with lamas parading in solemn dance and mime. It was founded in the 1630s and is the largest and richest of the Ladakh Gompas, nestled into the mountainside.

  3. Day 3 Leh to Nubra (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125Km.(4-5hrs one way Approx)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (18,350 feet). On arrival in Nubra Valley, drive to Disket and visit Disket, the headquarters town of Nubra Valley. Driving for 30kms takes you to Khalsar Bridge. Visit Disket Monastery. Further drive from Disket to Hunder, where you may see Double Humped, Hairy, and Bactrian Camels.

  4. Day 4 Nubra to Turtuk (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125Km.(4-5hrs one way Approx)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Turtuk Village. Turtuk is a beautiful village situated in the Nubra tehsil of Leh district in the Jammu & Kashmir state. This less-populated and offbeat destination is located approximately 205 km from Leh city and can be reached via the Khardungla-Nubra Valley route.

  5. Day 5 Nubra to Pangong via, Shayok River (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125kms

    After breakfast, drive towards Pangong Lake via Shayok Valley. Pangong Lake, shared by two countries, India (25%) and China (75%), mesmerizes with its captivating beauty and ever-changing colors of the high-altitude lake.

  6. Day 6 Pangong lake to Hanle (4225mts) 175km(6-7 hrs Approx)

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Hanle, crossing Chushul village and Tsaga La (15,200 ft). Enjoy the scenic drive up to Hanle, home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory. The village and the observatory’s location are sensitive due to the close proximity to the Tibetan/Chinese border. India established the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, a 2m gamma-ray telescope. Once completed, it became a major Atmospheric Cerenkov Experiment site. According to history, it is believed that King Singge Namgyal died here in Hanle while returning from an expedition to Mongolia. Enjoy your stay with the locals at a local guesthouse.

  7. Day 7 Hanle to Tsomoriri (4522mts) 130km(4 -5 hrs Approx.)

    After breakfast, check out and drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Yaya Tso (lake). Enroute, cross Nurpa Pass (16,100 ft) and later cross Mahe Bridge. On the way to the lake, arrive at Korzok by late noon. In the evening, take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty.

  8. Day 8 Tsomoriri to Tsokar to Leh ( 5328 mts ) 260 km. ( 8-9 hrs Approx)

    After breakfast, leave for Leh, passing Puga (sulphur mine), Tsokar Lake, Tanglang La Pass (17,587 ft). Later, arrive in Leh by evening.

  9. Day 9 leh to Airport ( 30 min )

    After breakfast, transfer from Leh to the airport to catch a flight for your onward destination, carrying sweet holiday memories.
