  1. Day 1 Arrival at Leh Airport (11562 ft) 5 – 6 km.(30 minutes Drive Approx)

    Welcome to Ladakh, stretching from the glacier to the mighty Great Himalayas—a land like no other. Your adventure begins upon arrival at Leh Airport, the capital and largest town of Ladakh. The Ashoka Adventure team will greet you at the airport, drive you to the hotel for check-in, and offer a welcome drink. We recommend relaxing for the rest of the day, allowing you to settle in and rest before embarking on tomorrow’s exploration of the stunning landscapes and roads. By afternoon, our supported team leader will meet you at the hotel to brief you about the trip.

  2. Day 2 Acclimatisation and Local Sightseeing (11562 i.e.3524mts) 35 km (5 to 6 hrs including Sightseeing)

    Enjoy the essence of Leh’s famous tourist spots during the day. After an early breakfast, visit the centuries-old Leh Palace. Next, drive 40 km east of Leh town to Hemis Monastery, considered the richest monastery in Ladakh. On the way back, make stops at Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Spend the evening at Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel in Leh.

  3. Day 3 Leh to Nubra (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125Km.(4-5hrs one way Approx)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (18,350 feet), passing through Horzey and Gangles Valley. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, drive to Disket, the headquarters town of Nubra Valley. After driving for 30 km, reach Khalsar Bridge and visit Disket Monastery. Continue the drive from Disket to Hunder, where you may encounter Double Humped, Hairy, and Bactrian Camels.

    Overnight stay in Nubra.

  4. Day 4 Nubra to Pangong via Shayok River (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125km

    After breakfast, drive towards Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley. Pangong Lake is one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world, shared by India (25%) and China (75%). Enjoy the beauty of the lake while marveling at the changing colors of this fascinating high-altitude lake.

    Overnight stay in Pangong.

  5. Day 5 Pangong –Leh 134kms (4-5hrs one way)

    After breakfast, embark on a stroll along Pangong Lake, one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world, shared by India (25%) and China (75%). Appreciate the beauty of the lake on its banks while marveling at the changing colors of this fascinating high-altitude lake. Drive back to Leh.

    Overnight stay in Leh.

  6. Day 6 Leh - Rumbak 20 kms (3 - 4 hrs )

    Visit Spituk Monastery before the trek. Drive along the Indus River, entering the gorge that leads to Zingchen campsite. Enter Hemis National Park and follow the valley to Rumbak village, where there’s a possibility for a homestay. Later, drive to Rumbak camping site.

  7. Day 7 Rumbak- Stok la - Mankarmo 10.8 kms ( 6-7 hrs )

    After breakfast, the staff members of Ashoka Adventure will start packing the tents. We will move towards Mankarmo via Stok La Pass. Crossing the Stok La Pass, the trails become steeper as you get closer to the pass. Enjoy the fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and the Indus Valley from the pass. The descent is quite steep, follow the trail until you reach the shepherd’s settlements at Mankarmo.

  8. Day 8 Mankarmo- Matho la - Gangpoche 8 kms ( 4 hrs )

    After breakfast, gradually ascend to the Matho La Pass, and enjoy the magnificent view of Stok Kangri from the pass. Walk down towards Gangpoche.

  9. Day 9 Gangpoche- Matho- Leh 11kms ( 3-4 hrs )

    After breakfast, we will walk through a beautiful gorge to reach Matho village. Visit Matho Monastery and later drive to Leh, checking into the hotel.

  10. Day 10 Departure

    After breakfast, transfer from Leh to the airport to catch a flight for the onward destination, carrying sweet holiday memories of Leh Ladakh.
