All about the Ladakh Winter Travel Experience.

Visiting Ladakh in winter is a wonderful experience. Many visitors come to explore the beauty of Leh Ladakh during this season and get a firsthand experience of local life in winter in Leh Ladakh and Zanskar Valley. It’s the time when you can witness the natural beauty of the “Roof of the World.” During winter, many hotels in Leh Ladakh are closed, leaving only a few open for visitors. Another option is to stay with Ladakhi local families in their homestays, where you’ll discover traditional Ladakhi houses and gain insights into winter life in Ladakh and Zanskar Valley.
Winter in Leh Ladakh is renowned for Snow Leopard expeditions, photography tours in different villages, and exploring frozen lakes. You can also immerse yourself in the local culture, embark on the challenging Chadar Trek on the frozen Zanskar River, and capture the elusive snow leopards through photography.
The winter season in Ladakh lasts from the end of October until February. Some recommended activities to do in Ladakh during winter include photography, wildlife observation, tours of frozen lakes, experiencing local culture, participating in the Chadar Trek, and sightseeing.
