  1. Day 1 Manali Pickup and transfer to hotel

    Welcome to Manali, the Ashoka Adventure team will meet you, drive you to the hotel for check-in, and offer a welcome drink on arrival. We recommend complete relaxation for the rest of the day to allow you to settle in and rest up before we start exploring the stunning landscape and roads. By the afternoon, our supported team leader will meet you at the hotel and brief you about the trip. Night stay: Manali, Hotel

  2. Day 2 Manali Local Sightseeing 245kms (6-7 hrs approx.)

    Manali, a vital hill station in northern India, attracts thousands of tourists annually with its cool climate serving as a haven from the hot Indian summers. The vibrant atmosphere features Kullu locals, Tibetan women, Nepali porters, Buddhist monks, and Zanskaris, creating a welcoming hubbub. Noteworthy attractions include the Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, and Tibetan Monasteries, while Vashist offers hot water springs and temples, making for a diverse and enriching experience.

  3. Day 3 Manali to Sarchu via Baralacha la 245kms (6-7 hrs approx.)

    After breakfast in Manali, embark on your journey towards Sarchu, situated midway on the legendary Manali to Leh Road, approximately 222 km from Leh, at an altitude of about 11,000 feet above sea level. Sarchu, surrounded by exceptional beauty and panoramic views, is renowned for its hill station charm and natural beauty.

  4. Day 4 Sarchu to Leh 222 km ( 7 -8 hrs )

    After breakfast, depart for Leh, passing through Nakeela and Lachungla pass. Enjoy lunch at Pang and continue the drive to Leh, traversing the expansive Skyangchu Thang, the biggest and highest plateau stretching 42 km. Cross Tanglang La pass and reach Upshi to drive along the Indus River, arriving in Leh by evening.

  5. Day 5 Leh Local Sightseeing

    Shanti Stupa: Perched on the hilltop at Changspa, the stupa was constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization known as ”The Japanese for World Peace” to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and promote world peace.

    Leh Palace: Built in the 17th century as the residential palace for King Singee Namgyal, Leh Palace is now in ruins with nine storeys. It served as the home of the royal family until their exile to Stok in the 1830s.

  6. Day 6 Leh to Nubra (10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125Km.(4-5hrs one way Approx)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (18,350 feet), passing through Horzey and Gangles Valley. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, drive to Disket, the headquarters town of Nubra Valley. Driving for 30 kms takes you to Khalsar Bridge. Visit Disket Monastery and further drive from Disket to Hunder, where you may encounter Double Humped, Hairy, and Bactrian Camels.

  7. Day 7 Nubra to Pangong via, Shayok River 10,000 i.e. 3250mts) 125km

    After breakfast, drive towards Pangong Lake via Shayok Valley. Pangong Lake, the highest saltwater lake in the world, is shared by India (25%) and China (75%). Enjoy the beauty of the lake while appreciating the changing colors of this fascinating high-altitude lake.

  8. Day 8 Pangong – Leh 134kms (4-5hrs one way)

    After breakfast, take a walk at Pangong Lake, the highest saltwater lake in the world, shared by India (25%) and China (75%). Enjoy the beauty of the lake on its banks while appreciating the changing colors of this fascinating high-altitude lake. Drive back to Leh, and on the way, visit Thiksey and Hemis.

    Thiksey: One of the largest and most impressive Gompas, housing several temples with images, stupas, and exquisite wall paintings. It also features a two-storied statue of Buddha in the main prayer hall.

    Hemis: Dedicated to Padmasambhava, Hemis offers a series of scenes where lamas, robed in gowns of rich, brightly colored brocade and sporting masks, parade in solemn dance and mime around the huge flagpole in the center of the courtyard. The moan of the eleven feet horns, the boom of drums, and the clash of cymbals add to the spectacle. Founded in the 1630s by Tsang-ras-pa under the royal patronage of Singee Namgyal, Hemis is the largest and richest of the Ladakh Gompas, nestled into the mountainside in the Zanskar range.

  9. Day 9 Leh to Kargil via Mulbekh (8780 i.e.2676 mts) 234kms(7-8 hrs approx.)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Kargil, visiting Mulbekh Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery, and the Moonland. En route from Leh to Kargil, you will cross two high passes, Namkela Pass and Fotu La Pass.

  10. Day 10 Kargil to Srinagar 204 km ( 6 - 7 hrs )

    After an early breakfast, drive to Srinagar, passing through Drass, the 2nd coldest inhabited place on earth. Enjoy spectacular views of Kargil war-famous peak Tiger Hill and other war peaks from Vijay Memorial Hall. Arrive in Srinagar by evening, and the journey ends with drop-off at the hotel.
