  1. Day 1 Airport – Leh (By Air) (11,562 i.e. 3,524 mts) 5 – 6 km.(30 minutes Drive Approx)

    Welcome to Ladakh, extending from the Glacier to the main great Himalayas. Your adventure starts with your arrival at Leh Airport. Leh, the capital and largest town of Ladakh, sets the stage for your journey. The Ashoka Adventure team will meet you at the Airport, drive you to the hotel for check-in, and offer a welcome drink on arrival. We recommend complete relaxation for the rest of the day to allow you to settle in and rest up before we start exploring the stunning landscape and roads. By the afternoon, our supported team leader will meet you at the hotel and brief you about the trip. Night stay: Leh, Hotel

  2. Day 2 Leh - Lamayuru via Sham Valley (11,520 i.e. 3,510 mts) 120 km (3 -4 hrs including Sightseeing)

    After an early breakfast, leave for Nimoo to see the magnificent view of the Confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers at Nimoo. The spot, famously known as Sangam, sets the tone for your journey. Reach Lamayuru by afternoon and visit the centuries-old monastery in Lamayuru village, also known as Moonland due to its unique terrain. Night stay: Lamayuru Hotel

  3. Day 3 Lamayuru to Padum (12,037 i.e. 3,669 mts) 130 km (6 -7 hrs Approx)

    After an early breakfast, drive towards Padum through the recently opened Singe-la. Enroute, pass through the villages of Wanla, Lingshed, and Hanupata before crossing the Singe La. The roads beyond Padum are patchy, so be prepared for a lot of off-roading. Reach Padum by evening. Night stay: Padum Hotel

  4. Day 4 Padum to Karsha, Dorjayzong (3,700 mts) 30 kms (4 hrs approx)

    After morning breakfast, drive to Karsha Monastery, founded in the 10th century, which has the largest Gelukpa monastery in Zanskar. The view from the monastery is beautiful, and nearby, there is the Dorjayzong Nunnery, an ancient Tibetan Buddhist nunnery founded about 700 years ago. Night stay: Padum, Hotel

  5. Day 5 Padum to Zangla and Stonday Monastery (3,670 mts) 35 kms (5-0, hrs approx.)

    After breakfast, drive along the Zanskar River to Zangla. Visit the old palace of the Zangla king and the Zangla Nunnery. Drive back to the hotel. Night stay: Padum, Hotel

  6. Day 6 Phuktal One Day Expedition (4 hrs of trek) 58 km (6 hrs Approx)

    After breakfast, move towards Phuktal Gonpa. Since the day expedition to Phugtal will be covered in a day, leave early morning from Padum. Drive from Padum to Purne, and next, trek from Purne to Phugtal along the Zanskar River. Post lunch at Phugtal, descend back to Purne and drive to Padum. Night stay: Padum Hotel

  7. Day 7 Padum to Zungkhul – Sani Village 38 km (3 -4 hrs including Sightseeing)

    Visit one of the most sacred monasteries, Zungkhul, and then head back to Padum. On the way back, visit Sani Palace, famous for the sacred Kaniska Stupa and Narpo Temple. Night stay: Padum, Hotel

  8. Day 8 Padum – Kargil 232 km (6 -7 hrs Approx)

    After breakfast, leave for Kargil. Embark on a journey toward Kargil, crossing the beautiful Suru Valley and Nun-Kun ranges. Enroute, visit Zanskar Doksa, where locals spend months with their yaks, cows, and horses. Witness their traditional lifestyle. Night stay: Kargil Hotel

  9. Day 9 Kargil to Leh via Mulbekh & Lamayuru, Leh (11,562 i.e. 3,524 mts) 234kms (5-6 hrs approx.)

    After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Leh, en route visiting the Monastery of Mulbekh, famous for the 1st-century Statue of Maitreya Buddha carved out of a huge rock. Proceed further towards Lamayuru, passing through Namkila and Fotu La Passes, the highest pass on the Srinagar – Leh road. Then drive to Leh and check into the hotel.

    Overnight stay in Leh.

  10. Day 10 Departure

    After breakfast, transfer from Leh to the airport to catch a flight for the onward destination, carrying sweet holiday memories of Ladakh and Zanskar.
